The aim of the People with Purpose Enterprise is to foster a professional learning community that is positive, effective and well-resourced embracing change and striving for excellence in teaching and learning outcomes.

Strategies

  • To establish a Staff Wellbeing program to build a flourishing community of happy and engaged staff focused on inspiring lifelong learning.
  • To develop a Talent Management strategy that will attract and retain world class educators who model the values of the College and are passionate about the growth and development of students.
  • To create equitable leadership development opportunities for all staff to explore and discover new talents and strengths.
  • To foster a culture of continuous professional improvement through peer mentoring and review.

St John’s Director of Performing Arts, Mr Russell Morgan, has been named as an Educator Hot List 2021 winner.

In its sixth year, the Educator Hot Listers demonstrate expertise in linking theory and practice and have designed and implemented innovations that provide students with high-quality educational experiences during these unprecedented times. To read the full story click HERE

St John’s Head of e-Learning and Innovation, Mrs Sharon Singh was awarded as a 2021 recipient of the Peter Doherty Awards for excellence in STEM Education.

Selected from hundreds of nominations across the state, the Department of Education, recognise students and teachers in state and non-state schools who demonstrate an outstanding and innovative contribution to STEM education in Queensland.

Mrs Singh was awarded Outstanding Teacher of STEM for strategies implemented at St John’s to lift student performance in STEM and her ongoing contributions to the learning outcomes of both students and other staff.
