Committed to fostering a strong sense of community, St John’s has recently unveiled its latest addition, “The Deck,” a lovely new facility designed to enhance student experiences and connect parents in a welcoming and relaxed environment. The completion of The Deck on the Junior School has left students buzzing with excitement as they make the most of this wonderful space during morning tea and lunch breaks.
Apart from being a favourite spot for students, The Deck is set to become the social hub for Junior School parents, thanks to the introduction of the eagerly anticipated “Coffee on The Deck” facility. This exciting initiative aims to provide an ideal platform for parents to connect, engage, and build lasting relationships with each other.
The official launch of Coffee on The Deck is scheduled to take place during St John’s 30th Year Foundation Day celebrations on Friday 28 July. Following the Junior School service, parents will be warmly invited to enjoy freshly brewed coffee and light refreshments as they revel in the new facility.
“Parents are an integral part of our school family, and we want to provide them with opportunities to relax, mingle, and share stories while savouring a delightful cup of coffee, “said Principal, Mrs Maria McIvor.
To cater to the busy schedules of parents, Coffee on The Deck will be open every Friday morning from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. This will allow parents to swing by, purchase a coffee before and after the Chapel Services, and catch up with other members of the St John’s community.
The Deck and Coffee Facility project is a testament to the school’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a sense of belonging and togetherness between students, parents, and staff. By creating a space that enhances student life and actively encourages parental involvement, St John’s continues to set new standards in nurturing a thriving and supportive school community.
